Yelp Sunset Showdown 2011

Warning: Some pictures might be NSFW-ish.

I have looked forward to this event for the longest time. Yelp’s Sunset Showdown is Yelp’s biggest event ever! I couldn’t be more happy than to be a part of it also. There was an endless list of vendors and performers at the event.

Photo Perspective
Thanks to Monica (Yelp’s East Bay Community Manager), I had an All-Access Yelp Staff Pass. So, I was able to run anywhere I wanted to grab that shot. I set my camera bag down and use had a belt attachment for another lens. I carried only two lenses, my 20mm and my 50mm area (both fixed prime lens). It’s not as nice as having a fast zoom lens, but it’s always good practice to “zoom with your feet”.

Because there’s windows everywhere, moving around and shooting was a little tricky. The windows was definitely playing tricks on my camera’s light meter, there’s a handful of times where I needed to retake some pictures.

For post-process, there isn’t much I really did; I didn’t even mess with the white balance too much. A couple pictures, I actually played around with a few Lightroom Presets.
